Jasmine Branderhorst
About her:
Jasmine Branderhorst is the designer and creator of the Underline. With a background in fashion and design, Jasmine approaches every project with a love of texture and the quality of materials, and embracing the bold. Whether it is a bespoke or ready-to-enjoy piece, comfort, function and beauty underline every design.
Jasmine has been sewing for over twenty-five years. She first learned how to sew at a young age by her Oma, an avid and talented self-taught seamstress, who made everything from bed sheets to beautiful gowns. Jasmine spent hours watching her Oma work in her sewing room, intently watching her mend or make clothes for her loved ones. This exposure, a blessing for Jasmine, marked the beginning of a lifelong dedication to her craft.
Jasmine turned this passion into a successful fashion business (JayBa) which specialized in ponchos. JayBa brought Jasmine to the West Coast where she participated in many trade shows, selling hundreds of ponchos along the way, before delving into interior design. After three years in the industry, she witnessed how much a single piece of furniture could transform a space and began to design her own pieces for clients. After years of planning and honing her design vision, Jasmine created the Underline to bring comfort, beauty and joy into peoples’ homes.
